The idea for Hedgehog Solutions was inspired by Jim Collins’ acclaimed book Good to Great, where he recounts the ancient fable of the hedgehog and the fox. The wisdom from this fable fuels our mission—to help entrepreneurs pursue their greatest potential with clarity and focus.
In an ancient forest lived a clever fox—restless, curious, and endlessly strategic. Each day, he devised new plans, chased new opportunities, and pursued every promising path. Yet despite all his cunning, the fox remained frustrated, trapped in a cycle of distraction and unfinished pursuits.
Also in the forest lived a humble hedgehog. Unlike the fox, the hedgehog relied on a single, simple, and effective strategy. No matter how many tricks the fox attempted, the outcome never changed—when danger appeared, the hedgehog rolled into a spiked ball and remained safe.
While the fox knew many things superficially, the hedgehog mastered one profound truth: Deep focus on one core strength is far more powerful than many shallow strategies.
